Acupuncture, acupressure, micro-massage, laser or standalone gua sha, fire cupping or moxibustion
These modalities are well known for effectively treating musculoskeletal injuries, but their benefits extend to various conditions such as respiratory and skin issues, digestive disorders, gynecological concerns as well as many other acute or chronic issues. It also aids in managing stress, anxiety and many other emotional and psychological problems, helping you achieve overall wellness.
Special modalities
Cosmetic Acupuncture
60 min - $120
Using special gold and silver needles as well as micro-massage techniques and laser stimulation, acupuncture is a very effective cosmetic tool. No toxic or artificial substances are injected to provide amazing natural lifting and filling results.
Advice will also be provided on self-care at home for even better, fully empowered results.
Gua Sha
Part / Full - $10 / $20
Gua Sha uses a flat, rounded stone, horn or metal tool on the skin. With the help of just a little oil, it does wonder to relax and free congested areas.
Gua Sha works very well during or at the end of an acupuncture treatment, to provide extra relief.
Gua Sha can also be used at home once showed how to apply properly (which we always happily do).
Cellulite Treatment
75 minutes - $150
A very powerful protocol designed to attract the energy and heat where fatty tissue has accumulated and caused a stagnation, (such as in jodhpur thighs and orange peel skin). It has been shown to significantly reduce volume and bring tone to the targeted areas.
Treatment Extras
Moxibustion
Japanese moxa (rice grain / indirect) - $10 / $15
The ancient art of Moxibustion predates acupuncture itself. It serves to supplement weak functions or evacuate what doesn’t belong in the body.
Smokeless moxibustion is a common part of most of our acupuncture treatments and does not come at an extra charge. When a more powerful and specific moxibustion treatment is needed, the highest grade of Japanese moxa will be used as an adjunct to acupuncture.
Fire Cupping
Part / full cupping - $10/$20
A very popular yet too often misunderstood method, cupping is a very useful tool to evacuate what is incorrect in the body. It can also be used to stimulate or relax.
Glass cups are treated with fire to create suction and placed along or around the area that needs to be treated. They either are left in place, or a single cup will be slid along the area to lift the tissue and provide relief.
Ear Inspection / Candling
Otoscope inspection / candling - $20
An otoscope is used to inspect the ear outer canal and eardrum. Pictures can be taken to be shared with a GP or ear nurse if needed.
Ear candling is a very ancient therapeutic treatment used to evacuate congested ears and sinuses but also has reported effects on other pathologies.
We use ear candles that are made of organic cotton and beeswax.
Infrared Treatment
30 min - $10
A professional infrared lamp is used to provide gentle heat where it is needed. Used appropriately, this method has proven tissue repair properties that can speed up recovery, provide additional pain relief and enhance strength building, with long lasting results.
