Experience
Authentic Healing
Welcome to Yi Acupuncture, where authentic Taoist traditions meet compassionate care in the heart of Hawkes Bay.
Our Protocols
Acupuncture
Our most commonly used protocol: using needles to activate or soothe, with deep effects on the psyche, emotional, organic and musculoskeletal (loco-motor) functions.
Cupping
A very popular yet too often misunderstood method, cupping is a very useful tool to evacuate what is incorrect in the body. It can also be used to stimulate or relax.
Moxibustion
The ancient art of Moxibustion predates acupuncture itself. It serves to supplement weak functions or evacuate what doesn’t belong in the body.
Guasha
Beautiful in its simplicity, Gua Sha is the use of a flat, rounded stone or metal tool on the skin. With the help of just a little oil, it does wonder to relax and free congested areas.
Visceral Manipulations
Sometimes, organs just get blocked, congested or stuck in the wrong place. This can easily and quickly be relieved with just a few, safe, gentle manipulations, with immediate effects.
Infrared Heating
In addition to moxibustion, infrared light can be used to provide gentle heat where it is needed. Used appropriately, its proven tissue repair properties can speed up recovery.
Laser and Pifuchen
Mostly used for babies and very young children or ultra-sensitive patients, lasers and Japanese Pifuchen allow effective stimulation of points without needles.
Cosmetic Acupuncture
Cellulite Treatment
Using special gold needles, acupuncture is a very effective cosmetic tool for the face. Some protocols also allow very effective treatment of cellulite and jodhpur thighs.
